MEMBERSHIP FAQs

  • How does membership work?

Families secure membership with a one-off annual fee, with tiers designed to suit different household needs. Depending on your tier, you may enjoy a set number of introductions, or unlimited introductions throughout the year. Unlike traditional agencies (who charge up to 20% of a nanny’s annual salary each time a placement is made), our model provides greater security, continuity, and peace of mind, should your circumstances change.

  • Is membership more cost-effective than using an agency?

Yes. In most cases, families find membership significantly more cost-effective. Traditional agency fees can often result in one placement costing more than our lowest tier of membership. With NANNIED, one annual fee often ends up costing considerably less while offering far more flexibility.

  • Is membership open to anyone?

Membership is by application. This ensures that both families and nannies reflect the discretion, professionalism, and values that define NANNIED.

  • Can I renew my membership?

Yes. Membership is renewed annually. Many families choose to maintain higher-tier memberships, both for the reassurance of unlimited introductions and the cost-efficiency compared with agency fees.

  • What if I only need a nanny once or twice?

The Reserve tier membership covers one introduction, making it ideal for families who are looking to place a nanny but do not require ongoing support with nanny placements. For households that value greater flexibility, higher tiers provide unlimited introductions in case of any change in circumstances.

  • Can I upgrade or change my membership during the year?

Yes. Members can upgrade their tier at any time to access additional introductions, priority support or unlimited placements. This ensures your membership evolves with your household’s changing needs, while still remaining more cost- effective than traditional agency fees.

FAMILY FAQs

  • Do you arrange both temporary and long-term placements?

Yes. All placements are bespoke. From temporary cover, to a permanent household role, we have a nanny to help.

  • What if my requirements change during the year?

Your membership allows you to adjust your needs as they evolve. The Estate and The Heritage membership tiers allow you to request further introductions at no additional charge, should you require further or different childcare cover.

  • Do you introduce specialist nannies?

Yes. We frequently introduce maternity nannies, night nannies, and professionals with particular expertise. Access to specialist introductions is included in higher membership tiers.

  • Can I meet more than one nanny before deciding?

Yes. As part of your membership, we are able to introduce more than one carefully selected nanny, so you can be confident in finding the right personal fit.

  • What if a placement doesn’t work out?

The Estate and The Heritage tier memberships include further introductions at no additional cost. Unlike agencies that would charge a fresh fee for each placement, these membership tiers continue to work for you until the right fit is found.

  • Do you assist with contracts, employment, salaries and payroll?

Yes. We can guide members on contracts, industry standards, payroll and nanny employment matters to ensure every placement is handled with clarity and security for both nanny and employer.

  • Are your nannies insured?

Yes. All nannies are required to hold appropriate professional insurance, verified as part of our selection process.

  • Are your nannies paediatric first-aid trained?

Yes. All nannies are required to hold up-to-date paediatric first aid training, in addition to their professional experience.

  • Is there support provided for my well-being?

Absolutely. We value our nannies as highly as the families we serve. NANNIED was founded by a nanny who understands that a well looked after professional provides the highest standard of childcare. We provide on-going support, encourage networking amongst professionals and remain a responsive point of contact at all times to ensure your well-being, safety and career growth are always prioritised.

NANNY FAQs

  • Do I pay to join NANNIED?

No. Membership fees apply only to families. For nannies, NANNIED represents access to placements within distinguished households.

  • How often will I be offered work?

This depends on the tier of the family’s membership and their specific requirements. Many families in higher tiers request regular introductions, creating ongoing opportunities.

  • Do I need to be paediatric first aid trained?

Yes. This is a minimum requirement for all nannies we introduce.

  • Do I need specific qualifications?

While formal childcare qualifications are welcomed, we primarily look for proven private household experience, excellent references, and a professional approach.

No. Nannies are employed directly by the family. We facilitate introductions and guide both parties through the process.

  • Will I be able to choose which placements I accept?

Yes. Placements are always discussed in detail, and nannies are free to accept only the roles that suit them best.

  • Do you offer guidance with contracts?

Yes. We support both nannies and families in agreeing fair and professional contracts.
